Open with the cohort definition in one sentence. Show one primary window comparison. Add a single caveat. Close with the next check — not a full roadmap. That rhythm keeps application analytics honest while remaining useful in a thirty-minute meeting.
Language to prefer
Say “return at day twenty-one fell for the March signup weeks” rather than “retention collapsed.” Specific windows and signup groups invite better questions than dramatic verbs.
